High hopes for the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games

The citizens of the nation like me, especially in the capital city, are eagerly awaiting the happening of the Delhi Games scheduled to be held from 3 October to 14 October 2010. To know about the latest happenings on the event, I always read the Commonwealth Games news at reuters.com. This is the platform which I browse everyday to read all other news including financial news as well. The Commonwealth latest news is the visit by Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh of Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex where the opening and closing ceremonies of the Commonwealth Games are scheduled to be held. The Prime Minister focused on the need as well as urged the concerned authorities to redouble their efforts for a spectacular and flawless opening of the Delhi Games. Hope, the PM’s words are well heeded too.

With rains further worsening the situation and roads exhibiting a grim look, people are just hoping that everything goes fine and the Delhi Games starts with zest, enthusiasm and fervor. As per the Commonwealth latest news, the PM had surveyed the various facilities right from playing fields, the royal box, media facilities to stands for spectators, security and related arrangements.

I must say, as also confirmed by the Commonwealth Games news, that Delhi Chief Minister, Sheila Dikshit, is all confident and is all geared up for the event. She believes and hopes that The Delhi Games will be the best ever Games held anywhere in the world.
